About and contact

My interest in birds began in the early 1990s, when my father, a keen birdwatcher, took me out into the forests around Stockholm.

In 2004, on a trip to Egypt, I held the family camera up to the telescope and got a Pied Kingfisher on the banks of the Nile. I have photographed birds ever since, with a particular love for coasts and shorebirds. These days there are quite a few butterflies too.

I photograph a lot around Stockholm, from the archipelago and Nynäshamn to the lakes and forests further inland. At least as much happens on journeys, from Varanger and Lapland to Spain, Florida and Argentina. I look for low perspectives and the light just after sunset, when the colours remain but the shadows are gone.

Photography is a hobby. In everyday life I work with marketing in the car industry. If you have questions about the photos or would like to use one of them, write to me through the form below and I will get back to you.
